We are sorry to announce that Tero Sand has left us. He died half past three in the morning on the 30th of April.
Outside his family you out there were his friends. Tero had been tetraplegic in a respirator for almost thirty years, after a car accident. He died at the age of 31. He could not breathe or move, but he could with a help of a stick and his computer reach the four corners of the world and with his intellect the depths of the human mind.
Those of you who feel Tero had a place in your heart please write a word or two to his mother, so his family knows Tero was not alone in the cyberspace.
Tero's mother is Pirkko Sand, her E-mail pisand@freenet.hut.fi If you cannot cannot reach her you can write to me: Markku Siivola, Tero's uncle, E-mail ms@megabaud.fi . I can deliver the messages to her.
Tero's text and links untouched below:
This started out as a collection of rebuttals to claims made by Creationists and Velikovsky-style* catastrophists. However, I soon noticed I wanted to include other stuff as well. That brought up the question: what should I call these pages? The title you see is the only one I could come up with. If anyone can figure out a better title, feel free to drop me a note.
* To be more specific, Velikovsky-style catastrophism as espoused by Ted Holden. To find out more about him, read his home page.
Due to the disgusting fact that I spend 50-90 percent of my online time reading talk.origins (the precise percentage depending on how many articles I post), these pages will indeed be mostly about anti-evolutionist claims. However, with time, the scope will probably broaden a bit. But not a lot.
Wrt rebuttals to anti-evolutionist claims, most of the material is from articles posted to talk.origins, but some of the links point to material found on some peoples' (usually talk.origins regulars') home pages, while still others point to material in the talk.origins FAQ archive.
Note: additions and corrections welcome. (But please, don't debate the issues. That belongs on the newsgroup.)
